Sometimes we get unwanted calls from both humans and bots alike, which can be frustrating for many people. In this article, we will be going over a few simple ways you can block any contact from sending you voice calls, face time calls, and messages on your iPhone.
How to Block Contacts
- Open your Contacts list and tap on the contact you want to block.
- Scroll down and tap on Block, this caller.
- A popup will appear on the screen. Here, tap on Block Contact to confirm your action.
- Now, the contact is blocked. To unblock the contact, select Unblock this Caller.
How to Manage Blocked Contacts on iOS 14 and 15

- Open the Settings app on your iPhone and navigate to Phone settings.
- Click on Blocked Contacts to see the list of contacts you’ve blocked.
- Tap on Edit to add or remove people from this list.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone and navigate to Phone settings.
How to send unknown callers to voicemail
Selecting this option will allow you to receive calls from unknown numbers. However, they will automatically be sent to voicemail. Therefore, your phone will not ring when they call, but you will receive a voicemail notification.
- Go to your Settings app and tap on the Phone option.
- Click on Silence Unknown Callers.
- Toggle on the switch to silence unknown callers.
