AirPods are named after your device’s name by default. For example, if your phone’s name is John’s iPhone, your AirPods will automatically be named John’s AirPods.
Renaming your AirPods will protect your privacy and help you find your AirPods in the long list of nearby Bluetooth devices.
When you change your AirPods name, it will reflect across all your Apple devices as long as they use the same Apple ID. You can easily change the name of your AirPods on iOS, Mac, Android, and Windows in the Bluetooth settings.
Note: To change the name, you must first connect your AirPods to your device.
