Turning off a PS5 controller is easy. It can be done from the PS5 dashboard, settings, or using the controller itself. This feature comes in handy when Player Two is away, and you want to save battery life on their controller. Here is how to turn off a PS5 controller:

  1. On the main PS5 screen, press the PS button on the controller to bring up the dashboard

  2. Navigate to the Accessories Option on the dashboard. It’s the third option from the right.

  3. Select the Accessories icon to display all attached accessories

  4. Select the Wireless Controller to bring up the submenu.
  5. Select Turn Off on the menu to completely shut down your controller.
